Terms & conditions
These terms describe how the DEQVO platform works and what people who use it can expect. Wording that depends on a specific country is marked for legal review and may be replaced by a country version.
1. The DEQVO service
DEQVO connects customers who need a professional driver with drivers who are registered and verified on the platform. In the core service the driver operates the customer's own vehicle.
The platform provides booking, pricing, trip execution, communication, payment handling and safety tooling. It does not operate a vehicle fleet.
2. Role of the platform
DEQVO acts as the technology platform that arranges the connection between customer and driver, calculates prices, records trip evidence and handles payment flows.
The precise legal characterisation of this role, and any transport or intermediary licensing that follows from it, depends on the country of operation.
3. Account requirements
An account requires accurate personal details, a verifiable email address or phone number, and acceptance of these terms and the privacy policy.
Accounts are personal. Sharing credentials, creating duplicate accounts or using another person's identity is not permitted.
4. Customer responsibilities
Customers using their own vehicle are responsible for:
- providing accurate pickup and destination details
- ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy, legal to drive and correctly insured for a third-party driver
- handing over the vehicle in a safe, drivable condition with sufficient fuel or charge
- being reachable during the booking
- paying the agreed price and any approved trip expenses
5. Driver responsibilities
Registered drivers are responsible for:
- holding a valid driving licence and any permit required locally
- keeping verification documents current and truthful
- driving lawfully, carefully and without any impairing substance
- recording the required handover and trip evidence
- treating the vehicle, the customer and other road users with care and respect
6. Booking process
A booking is created when the customer confirms pickup and destination and a price has been calculated. The request is offered to available drivers, and the first valid acceptance forms the booking.
Scheduled bookings follow the same rules with an agreed start time.
7. Vehicle handover
Before driving, the driver records the vehicle condition, mileage and fuel or charge level with photo evidence. The same is recorded at drop-off.
This evidence is stored privately and is used to resolve disputes about condition or costs.
8. Trip execution
The trip follows defined stages: driver on the way, arrival, handover, pickup evidence, live trip, drop-off evidence, completion. Trip status is recorded by the platform, not by either party alone.
Location is shared while the trip is running so the customer can follow it.
9. Pricing
The price is calculated before the booking is created and is based on the configured rules for the market: distance, duration, driver access and return travel, waiting time and any applicable surcharges.
All calculations are performed by the platform. The breakdown is shown before the customer searches for a driver.
10. Cancellation
Bookings can be cancelled through the app. Whether a cancellation fee applies depends on how far the driver has already travelled and how close the pickup time is, according to the rules configured for the market.
Statutory cancellation and withdrawal rights depend on the country and are subject to legal review.
11. Trip expenses
Costs incurred during a trip — such as fuel, charging, tolls or parking — are recorded with a receipt and shown to the customer for approval before settlement.
12. Payments
Payments are processed through the payment provider configured for the market. DEQVO stores payment metadata only; card data stays with the provider.
Where the platform is running in test mode, no real money moves and this is shown in the app.
13. Tips
Tips are voluntary. A tip is paid to the driver in full and no platform commission is taken from it.
14. Ratings
Customers and drivers can rate a completed trip. Ratings must be truthful and must not contain personal data about third parties, abuse or discriminatory content.
15. Prohibited use
The following are not permitted on the platform:
- unlawful, dangerous or discriminatory behaviour
- harassment, threats or abusive communication
- fraud, false evidence, manipulated documents or fake accounts
- circumventing pricing, payment or verification
- automated scraping, interference with or attacks on the service
16. Safety
The platform provides a Safety Center with trip sharing, check-ins, incident reporting and escalation to DEQVO support.
DEQVO does not replace the public emergency services. In an emergency contact the local emergency number directly.
17. Incidents and accidents
Accidents, breakdowns, damage and safety incidents must be reported through the app as soon as it is safe to do so, with evidence where possible.
Insurance handling and liability for damage are governed by the applicable insurance cover and local law.
18. Handling of platform responsibilities
DEQVO is responsible for operating the platform with reasonable care. The extent of any limitation of liability, and any mandatory consumer protection that cannot be limited, depends on the country and is subject to legal review.
19. Suspension and termination
An account can be restricted, suspended or closed where these terms are breached, where verification fails or expires, or where there is a credible safety or fraud concern.
Users can request account deletion at any time from the account page. Records that must be kept by law are retained for the legal retention period.
20. Complaints
Complaints can be raised through the contact form or, for an ongoing trip, through in-trip support escalation. Complaints are tracked in the support system with a status.
21. Governing law and jurisdiction
The governing law, competent courts and any consumer dispute resolution body are configured per country and are not yet set for this deployment.
22. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact form using the category Legal & privacy. The operating company details are shown on the legal information page once configured.
