Privacy policy
This policy explains which personal data DEQVO processes, why, and what rights people have. Entries about the operating legal entity are placeholders until the owner configures the real business details.
1. Controller
The controller is the company that operates DEQVO in your market. The legal name, registered address, registration number and any data protection contact are not yet configured and are therefore not shown here.
2. Account data
Name, email address, phone number, password credentials held by the authentication service, chosen language and country, account role and account status.
3. Identity and driver verification data
For drivers: identity and licence documents, extracted document fields, expiry dates, verification decisions and, where used, a liveness capture. Documents are stored privately and are only accessible to the driver and to authorised reviewers.
4. Trip data
Pickup and destination, timestamps for each trip stage, distance and duration, vehicle details, mileage and fuel or charge readings, prices, expenses and ratings.
5. Location data
Driver location is processed while a driver is available or on a trip, so that nearby drivers can be offered and a running trip can be followed. Customer location is processed to set the pickup point.
6. Communication data
Trip chat messages, translation output where translation is enabled, support conversations and call metadata. Message content is retained for the trip record and for dispute handling.
7. Evidence and photos
Handover, pickup, drop-off and incident photos. Evidence is stored in private storage, is never publicly accessible, and is opened only through short-lived signed links for the people entitled to see it.
8. Payment-related data
Amounts, currency, payment status, provider references, invoices, driver earnings and payout records. Full card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by DEQVO.
9. Device and notification data
Device registration for push notifications, notification preferences and delivery status. Technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.
10. Safety and incident data
Emergency events, safety check-ins, incident reports, incident evidence and trip sharing links, including who the trip was shared with in limited form.
11. Purposes of processing
Data is processed to:
- create and operate accounts
- arrange, price, execute and settle trips
- verify drivers and keep the platform safe
- handle payments, refunds, payouts and invoices
- provide support, handle complaints and resolve disputes
- prevent fraud and abuse and meet legal obligations
12. Legal bases
The applicable legal bases — for example contract performance, legal obligation, legitimate interest or consent — depend on the country and are subject to legal review before publication.
13. Service providers
DEQVO relies on service providers for hosting and database, maps and geocoding, payments, and — where enabled — messaging, translation and push delivery. Providers process data on instruction only.
The definitive list of providers per market is maintained by the operator and shown here once configured.
14. International transfers
Where data is transferred outside its country of origin, the safeguards used depend on the market and provider and are subject to legal review.
15. Retention
Trip, payment and safety records are kept for as long as needed for the service and for statutory retention periods. Evidence and safety media follow the retention settings configured by the operator.
16. Security
Access is restricted per role and enforced in the database, not only in the app. Private documents and evidence are never public. Administrative actions are recorded in an append-only audit log.
17. Your rights
Depending on your country you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and to receive your data in a portable form. Requests can be started from the privacy page or the account page.
18. Account deletion
Signed-in users can request deletion from the account security section. The request is recorded with a timestamp and handled by the operator; records required by law are retained for the legal retention period.
19. Minimum age
DEQVO is not intended for children. The exact minimum age depends on the country and is subject to configuration and legal review.
20. Privacy contact
Privacy questions and requests can be sent through the contact form using the category Legal & privacy. A dedicated privacy contact address is shown here once configured.
